How to get featured

In the recent Airbnb magazine they had a few pages dedicated to featured tiny living Airbnb properties. I enjoyed the read but also was curious how these particular properties were selected. I contacted the author but she said she is a freelance writer. That Airbnb had her write the article and had given her the topic and which properties to write about. She had no idea on how they picked the properties. So does anyone know how to get written about like that? Is there some place/person you can submit your property to for consideration?  We have an extremely unique tiny living Airbnb that would have been a perfect fit for that article and would sure of loved the exposure.
