How to set a cancellation policy

Im trying to post a listing but it does not let me do it and the message is I have to set the cancellation policy but can’t see where to set that policy. I googled it and it says go to booking settings and policy but again I can’t see it. Thanks x

Are you working from a laptop, @Alessandra945 ? If so, then, yes, go to Booking Settings. Scroll down past Guest Requirements and House Rules until you see Policies. You will see Check-in Window, Checkout Time, and Cancellation Policy. Beside Cancellation Policy click Edit. Choose the policy from that dropdown that works best for you. Right now I see yours is set to Flexible.

If you are working from the phone app, it is under Booking Settings as well, and you just select Cancellation Policy.

Hope that helps and you get it set!

This is a known technical issue, as you can read here:

https://community.withairbnb.com/t5/Help/Unable-to-set-cancellation-policy-and-publish-new-listing/m...

So the error seems still not be solved.

If you get the error:

A valid cancellation policy is required for listing activation.

Then follow these steps to resolve:

  1. Navigate to your listings page where you can see your "In progress" listing.
  2. Check the box on the far left of your listing.
  3. Click Edit at the bottom to open the "drawer" on the right.
  4. Click on Cancellation policy.
  5. Choose a cancellation policy from the drop-down menu.
  6. Click Save
  7. Refresh your page and attempt to publish your listing again!

I hope this helps. Have a great day!
