I am just starting with airbnb as a host and i cannot understand how the security deposits and paym

payments are made i am still holding to speak to someone at airbnb as the first person did not understand my question?? i dont know how to reject a booking either and why you would? any advice for a newbie on any subject is appreciated. sarah

i just don't understand do AIRBNB take the security upfront or if there is damages do AIRBNB then chase the money?

@Anonymous   There is no real security deposit, it's really a preventative measure, airbnb never takes the money and will not ever 'take' it unless the guest agrees that the money be released.  So, don't count on it.
