I am unable to register new account for my parents using their address as I have controversial error

I have my own account which is linked to FB and LI and not to gmail. 

Recently my parents asked me to register them on the website as they are not very good with the PC...

I tried to register with their gmail account and something went really wrong. We got confirmation address, but then system got very confused and never accepted the login and password that I set up.

At the same time I tried to re-register again using same address, but system said it's not possible as such account already exists.
