I booked a place for end of January but I found the property on a real estate site for rent

I booked a place for the end of January, when I was looking up the street address it came up on a well know real estate site for rent. I am now worried the host won't honour our booking and we won't find out until we are about to travel...

What happens in this case?

You may want to contact the host and verify with them. If they insist that its the same as per you have booked. You can only check it out upon arrival. However, upon arrival if its not as what you expected, you may ask for refund (for myself i will do that).

I would call the host and tell them your concern. Sometimes internet sites don't have updated information. Perhaps the host was going to rent it out to long-term renters and then decided to rent it out on Airbnb to short-term renters instead. If you can't resolve your concern by talking to the host, then call Airbnb support and discuss that matter with them. Airbnb can help you change your reservation to a different place. Good luck!
