@Maria1102 It is call the IBAN number not code, give your bank a call they will give you the number if you have any saving account. Good luck!!!

Hi, we do not have IBAn here either, but I realised the system does not let me pass through this step because I used the app version. Switch to using computer and went through the steps easily without IBAN issue. I guess the App is badly developed.

Thx Van for your advise! Completed ours theough website (as opposed to app) and no dramas. Took 2 mins

Hello Everyone,

It's sad to hear you all have the same problem and virtually no reply from AirBnB forum moderators, at all! NOT a good service, isn't it?... Anyways, great news is that solution is already there and working, you only need to know how.

So cutting long story short, no matter where you are based in the World go to your hosting account and navigate to 'Payout preferences', find 'Payout method' button and simply follow the steps. Make sure you choose your country from a drop down at the top of the page and not a default one(different countries, different banks - different IBAN length). Also, try to add the payout method on your desktop/laptop computer as opposed to a mobile app.

In fact when I have just set it all up after having an uphill struggle the other day on my mobile phone, I was given two options by AirBnB partner's pay gateway WorldPay: payouts directly to my bank account via sort code and acc. number and IBAN. Both worked form me just fine on my desktop computer.

Hope this helps.

All the best and good luck making big bucks!

My name is Gerald from Airbnb Customer Experience and I understand that this issue is very challenging for users who is located in Australia.

IBANs are not used in Australia. However, payers in certain countries may require you to provide one. In that case, your BSB and account number should be combined. Do not include any spaces or hyphens. For example: 06200011111111  (BSB)(Account no.)

I hope this helps 🙂

This does not work, an error message comes up saying it’s an incorrect iban. Any other advice?

Hi Heath

We also had trouble setting this up but managed after we did the following:

1. DON'T use the mobile app as it is not user-friendly, use your laptop/desktop instead.

2. DON'T use GOOGLE CHROME, use Internet Explorer as the website does not display properly using other browsers.

3. Once you've logged in, go to your profile and look for Payout Preferences / Add Payout Method, etc., and the form has familiar fields like BSB and account number ... and not a mention of IBAN and SWIFT!

Hope this helps.

(Hey Air B'n'B - the user experience of the mobile app leaves a lot to be desired, and some information on what browsers are supported would be nice ... just sayin')

Cheers
