An important and urgent question :
There was a problem with the synchronisation of our Airbnb agenda (we function also on the same time with Booking.com) It is not the first time.
And now we have a guest from Airbnb on a date that was already occupied! The night from 4 on 5 January. This guest expect now that we pay back the total amount that they payed (78,61€) But we will gain only 65,53 € and we find that it isn't correct because we will loose money and we are not responsible for this problem.. .Also, they tell us that they payed guarantee of 150 euros. Can you trace this? They also want it back of course.
Can you please answer me today or at least tomorrow? Because we received an allution request of this guest and we have to answer at least tomorrow.

I had a similar problem a month ago. Got a reservation from booking, and 40 min later one from airbnb with an overlap on the dates. Three hours later I got another reservation from HomeAway. Quite a headache... I contacted my airbnb guest and my HomeAway guest right away and explained that there was a failure and the systems did not sync properly.
I had two choices, either convince the guests to cancel (which they did), or contact airbnb and have them cancel it.
If your guest refuses to cancel, just call Airbnb and have them make the cancellation. Airbnb will refund whatever they have paid. Don't stress about it, just make the call.
