Instant Book or Request Reservation

Hello AirBNB Community,

Just wondering if someone could help me out. I am an experienced host of a couple of years and my listing -The Cowies Building, Bluff, Southland, New Zealand has always been available to book via 'instant book' because that is what I find gets me the most bookings. Recently I had to cancel a reservation so AirBNB changed my 'instant book' to 'request a reservation'. I accept this is a penalty of cancelling a reservation, it was months ago and I have since contacted the help centre multiple times and they assure me that my calendar is back on 'instant book'. Yet when I look at it, as though I'm a traveller browsing the available properties in my town, my listing still says 'request to book'. Does it only appear this way to me? If one of you have a minute would you be able to look up my listing and let me know if it says 'request to book'?

I feel like I'm going round in circles with asking the same question of the help people.

Thanks so much, -Emily

@Emily27

yes, it is still "request to book" 😞

I would try to disable instant booking and snooze my listing for a day and then activate the listing and instant book again. Wild guess but ...

it seems Aribnb knows how to deactivate instant booking but then they either forget to activate it again or they have no idea they didn't activate it again or they just don't know how to do it. Someone posted he contacted CEO and the problem was resolved soon after that. Good luck

Hi Branka & Silvia, Thanks so much for checking, I really appreciate that, and for your suggestions. Cheers, -Emily

Still request to book on your profile. Were you able to contact Airbnb recently? 🙂
