I've received a booking, but the person staying will not be the one who's made the booking - they won't be a member. Does this affect my insurance cover?

This is a third party booking and in breach of Airbnb's policy. Advise the person who booked that if they will not be staying in the property during this booking, then the guest who will be staying in the property will need to book themselves. If they don't have an Airbnb account then they need to register and go through verification check. Regarding you insurance cover I'm assuming you are referring to your personal insurance, you would need to check the T&C of your provider.

I have had that happened to me recently but only found the night before the couple were arriving when I received a text message from the young girl who made the booking. I was shocked that she made the booking but not once indicated the booking was for her mother and her partner but it was too late to cancel the booking. The worst part is when I went to call the mother she had already gone to bed so I was uncure at what time they would be arriving.

I spoke to the mother the next morning before I went to work and found out that he and the partner were smokers and my ads specificaly said no smokers. I was further stunned when they decided to smoke a joint in my backyard without any hesitation or consdieration for my house rules where it does say "No Drugs.

They were very clean and nice people but the daughter and the couple pushed the boundaries. I did an honets review and that I think has now given them to rate me down as well. I don't care about that but more about my home and the rules.
