Insurance/liability fees

Hi - we live in British Columbia, Canada and have a 500 sq ft guest suite attached to our home.

I am wanting feedback from other hosts on their liability and insurance coverage policies, maybe also the companies they chose to use and why. Specifically, monthly or yearly fees, and what your coverage does and does not include. Thank you!!

Thank you for responding to my question! I have done some research and I think I have found a Canadian company online for this. I am going to call today for some info.

HI Debra,,

I am also looking for a good and inexpensive insurance company for Airbnb in Summerland BC.  Did you find a reasonable coverage?  Thanks for any help.  Clara:)

@Clara535  you need to tag @Debra327  for her to see your message, especially since this is an old thread 🙂

@Clara535 - We ended up using DUUO. It is a Canadian company ( The Co-Operators) Online sign up. We can only use them for our Canadian Airbnb and not our Mexican Airbnb. Very simple to do. And you only pay for the nights you have guests stay. Each time you have a check in, you sign in and give your guest info. They have a daily rate. So in our busy season- March - Dec.... it is not really all that affordable, but makes me feel comfortable to have all the bases covered.  This was the easiest solution we found.
