Hello Lizzy,

Hello Lizzy
I need advice, please. I currently have a lady in a wheelchair with me as a guest who did not lie to me but kept a part of the truth secret. She kept to been paralyzed downwards from hips. She wears therefore catheder. And she cannot stay alone in my flat. I needed to ring the fireworkers to put her back on her wheelchair. Because she has not the singlest strength and power in her both legs to avoid, if the wheelchair moves the littlest, not to fall between wheelchair and bed.
My ask is now: how I can remove her, honorable way naturally, from my flat?? She has not the means to use any hotel. Do you have any good advice for me?
This should been posted into the forum for discussions under the airbnb hosts. I could find no button to enter that forum. Sorry. And I would prefer to write in german language.
Your Jutta L. from Munich, Germany
Hi @Jutta106 ! I'm sorry to hear that your guest is having trouble in your flat. You can reach out directly to the Airbnb support and discuss the case - you can find the contact details under this link. In this post you will find all the important telephone numbers, so you can get in touch with the support quicker.
We also have a German-speaking Community, you can access it here and talk to other German-speaking hosts.
I would suggest you call Airbnb and explain the situation and ask them if they can help relocate the guest to a wheelchair accessible listing. @Jutta106
If she cannot stay in accommodation without help to move from the wheelchair to the bed though, I would suggest she needs to be in accommodation where she has a carer. Therefore I am not sure any listing would be suitable.
Thanks for your really good suggestion. I decided, with her agreement, to terminate the initially contract and to give her time to move out until the 31th of january. I hope she will find until then a place to be for long term stay in any Reha Hospital. Yes, she needs more care, that are the facts. And a care bed, which can be moved in the right position to her wheelchair. And more space for her to move with her overseized wheelchair.
Quite honestly I would be reluctant to have her stay so long, surely there is a safety risk. @Jutta106 Do make sure you speak to Airbnb about this and follow up conversations on airbnb.
Also it is not fair to keep asking your fire service to lift her, nor for you to be expected to help her.
Where was she before she came to you?
Is there a reason she can't get a place in a care home or specially adapted housing with care support?
