I seem to be having a tremendous amount of trouble whenever I try to message anyone on this Community site. Is the system just that clunky or what? When I spend a lot of time typing a reply and hit send, it says "oops, we can't send your reply at this time", and the whole thing just disappears without a trace. Terribly frustrating! Anyone else have this problem?

You probably refer to sending a member a private message (by using the "Send message" button in the community members profile). It happens to me also several times, so before i hit the final button i allways copy the text. It is a very annoying bug (?) in the software.

@Gene-and-Lisa0 it happens all the time so I also always copy the text before I hit the button. Sometimes I have to send it more than 10 times until it actually go through.. very frustrating

Thanks for highlighting that you are experiencing this with the direct messaging system in the Community Center.
If possible, I'd like to check a couple of things with you as it appears that not everyone is having this issue.
- Which browser are you using?
- Did you leave the text box open for a little while before sending a private message?
Any information would be really helpful so that I can pass this on to the team.

@Quincy just to make sure - we are talking about private messages on CC from one host to another, not the message thread under posts here.
I am using Chrome, but the same is on any browser. Sometimes I have to reload the page and try again and again for 10x or more. Sometimes I have to wait few hours or try another day. I tried everything - clear history, login again.. but without any success. I am not the only one who always copy the message before hiting send button bc it never ever go through the first time.
I spoke with Robin and he says the same. He said he and Lizzie have been having conversations centred around this for two years now but unfortunately nothing has changed.
@Quincy ps... For some obscure reason or other a first time message seems to go through! It is just messages relating to a past contact that get lost to the dreaded 'Oops'
@QuincyI use Firefox browser. I agree with what @Branka-and-Silvia0 allready mentioned. I don't recall how long the textbox has been open and if there is a relationship with the failure. It's more the software seems to behave unpredictable. It's not related to the English forum, it's also on the Dutch forum. Ending up in "Oops" and losing all typed text is an unpleasant experience... I try to avoid the direct message facility.

I am using Chrome browser and it doesn't seem to matter how long the box is open....it happens all the time, whether I am replying to a message or directly messaging someone. Sometimes it transmits, but more often than that it just gives me the OOPS message.
