This is my first time doing AirBnb, someone just sent me a request, a Girl with an account from august 2016, no reviews, she is from Torrance, CA (9 miles away from me)
Im afraid if I give my house keys to locals, they might related to a group of house burglars or something like that.
Would Be okay If I ask her what are the reasons she wants to stay? I have my thougths
Of course, ask her anything you want. Most hosts want to get to know their guests before they arrive to make sure they are a good fit.
Thank you Cinthia 🙂
Manuel that is a very good question.
Common sense does dictate a red flag and you are right to ask pointed questions to assauge your fear.
That said, not all same city guests are a nefarious lot.
Some people may have been transfered and 9 miles in LA can mean an extra hour commute.
Some people may be flying out and want to be closer.
Some people want to check out a new neighborhood.
Some people are getting separated and need a quick place during transition.
(Of course, I talking about a reasonable separation transistion, not the immediate crashpad needed after a blow-out... That situation is more for a hotel.)
I have had very good luck with same city guests. I hope you will too
I wouldn't do it it didn't work out well for me. That's why I've now turned off instant book
