Hello Guys:)
So, i booked an apartment over Airbnb for the first time, so im very new to this whole system.
The host accepted and welcomed me. I told him im happy he's having us and we can't wait to see Amsterdam.
He replied with a link (yourporter) and asked me to fill out the form regarding my arrival information. The link leads to yourporter and asks me when, and how i will arrive.
I decided to not fill out the form and just write him a message when we will arrive. Check in is 3pm and Check out is 11am. I told him we arrive the apartment at around 11am, so he told us thats perfect, we can leave our luggage there and pick it up at 3pm when we check in.
The apartment has no reviews and is very central in amsterdam for just 125€ per night. So im bit skeptical about the host and the apartment.
Maybe you guys can help me sleep well at night, because i dont want a disaster when i'll arrive.

Thank you for reading this and looking forward for your replies 🙂
EDIT: I told him i'm a bit worried and skeptical, he then told me there is no need, he guarantees AirBnB is 100% safe. I also paid the bill via the AirBnB app, so i guess i dont need to worry about my money.
Hi@David
You are quite correct to be worried, just as there are rogue guests there are also rogue hosts.
Download the air bnb app from I phone under free apps.
Once the Airbnb app has downloaded, if this has been a genuine booking site, you will soon be able, to see the message on the air bnb portal, that your booking has been accepted by this host.
You, as a guest, if using the genuine air bnb site, should have up loaded your profile preferably with government ID verified by air bnb site and your payment method.
Never correspond with a host offsite.
Never pay a host your accomodation nightly fees because all genuine air bnb hosts are paid directly via air bnb communications where the guest has a genuine air bnb message under their messages regarding payment being taken from their account and the same air bnb communication system applies to hosts telling them your payment has gone through and when to expect its arrival in your bank account.
It looks like a genuine listing.
Remebers, there are always the 1st booking - both for guests and for hosts.
If you folllow @Victoria567 's advice, you should not have a problem.
If the host ask for payment outside the platform, or wants to talk to you outside the platform, run.
🙂
@David3057 YourPorter is a Channel Manager for hosts that list on multiple sites like booking.com, VRBO, etc. in addition to AirBnB. It helps to streamline their booking. It is completely legit as is the AirBnB you rented. You paid via AirBnB and the host is just listed this property so that is why there are no reviews.

Enjoy your stay.
Vielleicht, wenn Sie sicher sein möchten, anstatt Ihre erste Air-Bnb-Erfahrung zu bereuen, schauen Sie sich das Gastgeber-Profil und alle Bewertungen und die Anzahl der Bewertungen an.
