Issue with the refund

Hello, 

 

I had booked a room, and the host messaged me he was not available at these days, and asked me to cancel. I didn't, and asked him to do it instead. He said he needed to call airbnb since it was too close to the reservation day and he couldn't cancel. When he did manage to cancel, I requested a refund, but did not get a full one. The host, however, said that the price I paid was bigger than what he advertised, which is true (they were in different currencies). He does not want to transfer me money (I understand him), but then I want to get a full refund since this was not me who canceled. How can we resolve this?

This is confusing- if the host cancelled then you should get a full refund of what you paid. If you haven't then contact Airbnb via Twitter- search for AirbnbHelp
