Kids

After having booked and therefore paid, I realized in a separate house rule that the kids are not allowed and that it is not allowed to jump in the swimming pool. How can that be, since that was not stated beforehand?

Can I ask, did you read the full listing description prior to booking? The house rules form part of the listing description. All guest must read the full description prior to committing to any booking in order to avoid disappointment or financial lose depending on each host's individual cancellation policy.

I would suggest that you review the full details and if not suitable for your needs, that you contact the host immediately to cancel the booking while you might still be able to get a full refund; Airbnb will not return their guest service fee as it is requirement to read the details prior to booking.

Hope you get it sorted, Ama

It is a bit difficult to comment without seeing the actual listing you have booked.  Is there a link ?

It is fully possible that the listing is not clear enough and that the surprises are revealed in the house manual that is only available after the booking is made.

Did you tell your hosts upon booking that you were travelling with kids ? In this case they should have been good enough to decline your booking request.  The main aim is to get a good match that will suit both host and guests.
