Leaving guest

I have plans to go to a different city the same dates that my guest will be booking for. What should I do? Is it advisable to leave my guest in the house?!

Personally I would never leave a guest in my home if I had plans to travel to a different city, but each host is different.

If you plan to do this, do make sure you have a lockable door for your bedroom and belongings and that you have someone on hand with key to your place who can keep an eye on things and be available in case of problems ie broken boiler, noise disturbance etc.

Only you can answer this question.  Some people rent out their personal home while they are away on vacation, some only host while they are home.
