Listing changes host, what will happen with the confirmed boikings?

Good morning dear All!

i have a question that is quite important and i need your assistance!

I am a property manager and i have a listing that has some confirmed booking for May and June.

The owner o the property decided to work  the reservations by himself and wishes to make his own profile on Airbnb and manage his listing. If i delete the listing then the payment cannot be precessed due to no bank transfer linkage, if i put the listing on hold and he create his onw profile then 2 same listings are promoted on Airbnb.

What shall i do, any recommendions?

If not do you know how may i email Airbnb help center?

thanks a looooottt!

@Amalia12 that's actually a good question, i am very interested in the follow up.

You won't get anywhere with emails, the best way to shed some light on this ownership change is to call airbnb on the phone.

I suspect a situation where there are two listings of the same property (two owners) would make sense as long as the calendar are carefully updated. i.e.  both calendar should not show availability for the same period to avoid double booking.

merci beaucoup!

you are very right! i will call tomorrow Airbnb to check what is best to do, since i also tried to find an email but no results!

Bonne nuit :)!

Hi @Amalia12:

I would suggest the following:

The owner can build his own listings.

Propose to the owner to set him as a co-host on your listing, just until the actual bookings are finished.

Just YOU block the non-yet-occupied dates and he should block the pre-booked dates.

Done

Regards

Michael

Thanks a lot for your recommendations!

I dont want the double listings because i have many listings under my name and i dont want to give the impression of fraud listing etc...

regarding the co-host that you reffered to Michael, does the owner has access on my profil this way?

Maybe i should try to call directly Airbnb, since as you all say te email contact is not soeasy...that's so wirde why do they keep the contact so difficult while they have so many hosts and guests...?

Thank you both for your feedback this helps a lot!!!

@Amalia12

If you put the listing on hold it will not show up in search results, so I cannot see that there is a duplicate listing dilemma. The already booked guests will still be able to see the listing.  To avoid confusion, you could simply explain the situation to the already booked guests.

Hello @Amalia12,

Thanks for starting this topic here. It would be great to hear what you decide to do in the end and if you contact the Support Team it would be fantastic to hear what they suggest, as it may help other hosts in a similar situation in future. 🙂

Thank you
