Listing not always showing up on map

When I search listings in my town, my listing shows up on the map.  When I search for listings in surrounding towns or areas,  my listing does not show up on the default map, but may show up if I zoom in.  Other listings located much further away from mine will always show up on the default map.  What can I do to make sure that my listing will always show up when someone searches outside my town?
