Listing order

Hi,

I checked for answers to this question. I found two others asking the same question but neither were answered.

How is it determined what order your listing shows up. I find mine about half way down the first page while others listings are before mine and they haven't had a booking since last year.

Just wondering.

And as experienced hosts, while they won't admit it, listings get bumps for being a Superhost, 100% response rate, no cancellations, using Instant Book, and reviews.

@Alice-and-Jeff0 I am superhost, 100% responce rate, great reviews, no cancelations, IB and my listing still isn't bumped. I have 5-6 Airbnb reservations per summer so I am sure there are other important factors.

The goal of the Airbnb search ranking algorithm is to help guests find the perfect listing for their trip—and help hosts find guests who are a great fit for their space. We look at nearly 100 different factors for every listing in every search (and don’t worry—you don’t have to perform perfectly on everything to rank well).

The exact list of features we consider is confidential, but here are the basic categories:

Guest needs: We look at factors related to the guest, including where they’re searching from, their previous trips, which listings they’ve added to their Wish List or clicked on, and more.

Listing details: We consider things like the number of five-star reviews, price, location of the listing, if Instant Book is turned on, how quickly the host of the listing responds to requests, and many other factors.

Trip details: We factor in how many guests will be traveling, how long the trip will be, how far in the future the trip is, if they have set a minimum or a maximum price, and a variety of other factors.

@John1975 ah the million dollar question 🙂 We are all wondering this, if I am correct Airbnb will soon answer to some of the questions on this subject. There are many many aspects that have influence on the order of listings show.

Thanks everyone. Just couldn't figure it out. I have bookings almost every weekend, 5 stars, 100% response at less than 1hr. So was just confused.
