Liviing in Hawaii, being in the pool and/or ocean is a normal part of daily life. My condo was equipped with snorkeling gear, inflatable floats for children, boogie boards, etc. I was recently advised by another host to be aware of potential liability to me should a guest have a safety issue while using these amenities from my condo and that I should consider removing such amenities. ANYONE have comment on this one way or the other? I've enjoyed positive comments on having these for my guests but .... ??
hm... the factory should be responsible for the safety of things they manufacture. If you buy them and give it to your guests then I don't think you are responsible.
But, at your place, I would write a note, something like " You are using this beach stuff on your own responsibility" and hangs it on the place you keep those things. Just to be absolutely sure - take a photo of those things and the note.
