Hello,
I'm gonna start a fully automated Airbnb appartement in a few month in the city of Lille in France and i have a question for you.
I would like to use a lock box for the keys of the appartement and building. A small one, there is one door for the building and another one for the appartement.
Is there anyone who can give me feedback about this ?
- Where can i install the lock box
- Do i need to ask the co ownership to install the lock box near the door of the building
- What lock box model do you recommand
- Or anything you have in mind
Thank you in advance,
Pierre
@Pierre649 You'd want to install it right next to the main or exterior door, but wouldn't it be better to ask your neighbors or the manager at the apartment building? Anyway, I use this lock box and it's been great. You do have to invite every guest by email, and then they download the app and get a code that starts on the day they check in and expires on the day they check out. (You can set the hour it begins and the hour it ends.) I do always ask for a non-Airbnb email address, because the Airbnb email addresses are quite long and harder to copy and paste from one app to another.
I've only had two guests have difficulty - one because her bluetooth wasn't turned on (it's literally called a bluetooth lock box) and the other because he was just hopeless with technology. I gave him my own code because he was so sweet and hapless I was quite sure he wasn't a criminal mastermind. 🙂
@Pierre649 Sorry, this lock box: https://www.masterlock.com/personal-use/product/5441D
I got it on Amazon.
@Ann0thank for your answer.
Its exactly the model i would like to choose !
I want to install it near the exterior door and i would like to know if some people already did this before and if some of them experienced degradation, keys robbery or smthg like that.
Again, thanks for your advice !
