Hi everyone!
I have an issue with the app since the last update. When I try to log in with my e-mail it starts loading the captcha but it never finishes loading. Then it disappears and jumps back to the login page. I tried different accounts - none work, so I assume the issue is not my account.
I'm able to login in the browser without any problems. I tried to delete the app and install different older versions of it and nothing seems to work. I cleared cache and data of the app as well. I have a Samsung Galaxy S8+.
I thought the issue was my phone, but I discovered that I have the same issue with my amazon fire tablet too!
I contacted Airbnb, but of course, they take their sweet time to help me.
Does anyone have an idea what it could be?

I have the exact same issue and can't seem to log in! I'm leaving for a long trip with several Airbnb locations where I'll be staying and was counting on the app to get all the info to get to each places... Seems like I'll have to print it all out before hand and manage to get a wifi connection before every stay to manage to get the arrival instructions since you can only get them 3 days in advance! Grrrrr!!!
Same issue here, all of a sudden I need to log in again and the bloody captcha thing doesn't give me any opportunity to click a box or anything and disappears.... Anyone had progress on this? I'm on a pixel 3.
Same issue for me. I use android 9 on a huawei mate 20. After completion of the login details and the captcha thing, it goes back to a new login screen. If I close it, I then see the previous login screen, completed with my id and password, and the little images still running on screen to show it is loading. But it just keeps loading...
Of course, reinstalling the app doesn't help, login via google leads to a message saying there is already an account registered with a password, so I am back to the standard previous procedure, which doesn't work. Everthing is fine on the laptop, but isn't it something that one could expect from airbnb, a working app so we needn't carry a laptop with us ?
Hope someone over there will put pressure on airbnb staff to produce an update that works!!
Hey Airbnb. I find it incredibly unacceptable from a business perspective that you all are having a MAJOR issue with your mobile apps (users unable to access information about services that they have paid hundreds/thousands of dollers for), and you guys are completely silent on the community forums.
Please step-up to the modern world and use the communication channels you have provided to, well, um... communicate!
We'd like a status update. Are your dev teams aware of the issue? Are they working on it? What is the expected ETA for a fix? Can you provide a workaround in the meantime?
Please step-up up and behave/communicate like a mature company.
