Login on home computer : security/verification code requested every time (daily!)

Hi

I have been logging into Airbnb for over a year from my home computer with no problem whatsoever. About a week ago I started being asked for a code every single time I log in. Which, at the moment, is daily. Every day I have to go through the routine of requesting a code via text message, phone call or email. I emailed Airbnb about it and one of their Trust and Safety agents, rather than read my email and answer my query, explained to me how to obtain the code (which I have no problem doing). 

Am I stuck with this safety feature forever? Is anyone else having the same issue?

Always been using Firefox for Mac, private browsing mode. Don't have this issue when using the app on my iPhone (wifi).

Hello Isabelle the problem is that there have been increased security threats from hackers and scammers on Airbnb. They have tightened up the security to prevent against this. Simply google Airbnb security updates and you will see whats been going on it's really for your best interests that they tightend things up.

Thank you Daniel. It's a good thing that they are taking hacking seriously – but do they really text or call everybody every day? I look at my Login history and I'm still not 'logged out' from my sessions of the past few days... I'm basically logged in 5 times simultaneously from the same computer? and I bet that tomorrow will be a 6th time and so on. Something is not registering my verification?

I have not experienced the verication process to that extend but have definitely noticed I have to verify my account on a much more regular basis due to the security upgrades they have made.

I have figured out that the Private mode of my browser is the issue... I don't get the login verification request sent to me when I use the non-private mode. I never used to get it in Private mode either, but now it's requested every single time.
