Long term stays

Hi al, i am a newbie but gained super host status last month. My first headache involves a long term guest . 40 + days. We updated our wifi to the max and because of the continual streaming my guest did, her speed slowed. She gobbled up 50gb in 3 days. Any suggestions how to deal with an issue like this.  Because we provide wifi am i responsible for overusagrs. We live in a very rural where wi fi is imited. Customer didnt understand this.

@Karla180,

If your Wifi has limitations due to the area you live in, maybe mention it in your listing.

But as with everything provided: guest should use it in a fair way. If the use is excessive, you can ask them to limit (or pay for overuse, if your provider going to charge you for that). Continous streaming of videos etc. by one guests can,  besides the high amount of transferred data, also limit you and other guests in accessing the Internet.  A guest should be able to understand this.
