Lost Super Host Status

I've been a "Super Host" on Airbnb since the first quarter I hosted.  Today I got a notice that I did not meet "Super Host Status" for this quarter.    Airbnb suggested I "Visit the Community Center" to "connect with other hosts" and "swap ideas on how to strengthen ratings or get more bookings".  The email I sent to Airbnb came back "unable to deliver message".  SO... I am posting my message to Airbnb right where they suggested I go to "swap ideas" - right here:

Dear Airbnb,

I can't believe that I get "dinged" because FOUR BOOKINGS (for a total of 9 nights) cancelled in April and May, 2019.  Guests cancelled those nights; not me!  Nights that were never re-booked on Airbnb.  So, not only did I lose almost $1,000.00 - I lose my Super Host rating, too?    Way to encourage hosts, Airbnb.

You seriously do NOT want me to "Visit the Community Center" to "connect with other hosts" and "swap ideas on how to strengthen ratings or get more bookings".  My idea would be VRBO.

Margaret

@Margaret55 I am guessing you lost your status because you hosted less than 10 stays in the last year taking into consideration the number of reviews. Unfortunately Airbnb doesn't take into consideration that there were bookings but canceled, for them its like it never happened.

Thank you, Anna1136, I believe you are correct.  I'm not as angry as I was when I first posted this.  Now I'm just disappointed... and discouraged.  I live close to Great Basin National Park in Nevada - a very remote area.  We are closed 5-6 months of the year because of snow in the higher elevations of GBNP and visitors cannot access the areas they would like to see because of the ice and snow.  I hope none of my other Airbnb reservations "cancel" this summer!  Thank you again for your reply.

I've just read an email that declares we've not requirements in the recent Super Host awards. I am annoyed... it would appear we've not hosted enough.

We hosted a 60 night stay, which was great for the income side of things, but has hindered our ability to meet the requirements for the minimum number of stays. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

Our feedback is spot on,  as is our response rate. Our property, while not totally seasonal, does rely on the warmer weather for best bookings. Pricing is just below the recommended nightly rate, as well.

It's hard to accept, given we've been Super Hosts for 9 continual assessments,  which surely highlights we know the drill.

Do many of you take this as personally as it seems to have hit me? Or should I relax and let it go? |

Yours, Feeling Unloved.

Yes, I take it personally.  I'm trying to relax and "let it go".
