MEXICO IVA TAXES

Can AirBnb add Mexico as one of the countries where taxes [IVA] are calculated automatically.

Thanks

Correction:

SAT - is the government agency. Equal to IRS.

ISR - Is the regular income tax (impuesto sobre la renta)

Airbnb now provide a way for you to charge and collect the IVA.

Hi all-

Late to the conversation here. Had a question about paying income tax on rental income in MX as a foreigner / non-resident (USA). What is the typical tax rate your rental income is subject to? I've read it varies via tax brackets as does ours in America, but I haven't been able to find any concrete numbers.

Seems Airbnb should allow a notation that taxes of IVA (16%) are due and included in the nightly rental

rate. Grossing up the rates and break out in the detail for guest. ( federal requirement all hotels and Airbnb

obligated to collect)

Most answers so far seem to miss the point. For transparency reasons and ease, simplification of payment, air bnb guests NEED automatic inclusion and visibility in charge/payment ON airbnb.

I'm there with you Matt:

AirBNB should automatically charge IVA on all listings in Mexico. Otherwise only those of us who choose to comply with the tax law (a minority) are either paying it off our income, or building it into the nightly rate and risk being the most expensive listing in our area.
