Making a date available

I have in my settings to allow for prep time between check out and check in.   However, on July 4th weekend I want to override that feature because I have someone checking out on Saturday the 2nd, and I want to make Saturday the 2nd available for someone to check in during the afternoon.  I went to my calendar and clicked "make available", and it shows that it is available on my calendar.  But when I go to search for rentals in my area from 7/2-7/4 it does not show up.  If I put 7/3-7/4 it shows up, and says that 7/2 is not available.  Does anyone know how to remedy this?
