Hi
I am brand new to this. My first guests arrive in a few days time and I am both nervous and excited.
At the moment my guests can book for one night only, but for some specific dates I’d like to change this to two or three nights minimum, particularly when I’m away on holiday and have someone coming in to handover the key, be on hand and clean the apartment. Obviously during these periods a one night stay just isn’t economically viable as I need to pay the ‘helper’. How do I set different calendar periods for different minimum period bookings?

Hi! I have the same question. I'm up in wine country in NorCal, and would like to set September and October as a 3-night minimum, but only 2 nights the rest of the year. Do I have to do that manually?
You can add a seasonal requirement that will fix that for you. It’s super helpful! Go to booking settings, then trip length, and add a seasonal requirement.
I can't find trip length under booking settings!
Hello @Anne-Camille0,
The answer above isn't correct. The setting is under "Availability settings".
Go to the "Trip length" section unser "Availability settings" and click on the "Add a custom rule for seasons or specific dates" link.
You can then click in the "During" box and select one of the pre-programmed date ranges or you can select "Specific dates" and enter your own start and end dates. Then enter the minimum stay you want during this period. Click on "Save" and "Save again. The minimum stay will then apply to checkins on any date in that range.

Someone needs to send a memo to customer support... they are not in the loop of what you just explained. They wanted me to change my minimum stay year round and I explained that I only wanted to change it for the slow season and they said it was impossible and suggested I log out of my account then go to help and then log back in and request it through feedback. I'm going to give your suggestion a try... most areas have seasonal rates and will also do a last minute special that reduces the minimum night stay requirement... the rates calendar should be dynamic and allow us hosts to not only do seasonal rates but last minute rates by just clicking on the calendar and selecting the dates we want to change a rate and or minimum night stay so it will show up in a search a guest does on Airbnb...
Hi I totally agree, with you John, fingers crossed.
Thank you
I’ve set up seasonal days now....after turning down three bookings of two nights on a long weekend only to accept a forth because I was distracted at the time with a family emergency.
My issue is is that I charge more on weekends and I’m getting guests who book for Saturday and Sunday nights to get past the two night requirement. Why doesn’t it let you specify what day the two night booking must start on like it does for seasonal?
This is all great info thanks ladies. My 2 yr anniversary of being a host is Sept 2018. Ive been. Superhost for most of this time and love it! Heres my situation: I used to have a one night min. but at times it was just way to much cleaning and to time consuming for me. I just list a private guest room and privatw bathroom in Salem Ma. I changed it to a 2 nt min. recently and its much better even if im losing some business, Im optimistic it will all work itself out. My ? How can I when I see a few scattered 1nts available change them to available ( not a 2 nt min requirement in other words)when I know ill be around to handle all if the extra work. I travel alot during the summer so have a neighbor friend do the quick cleaning turnover at a reasonal cost thankfully! I appreciate your assistance with this Best wishes to all hosts Alicia
I currently use the 3 day minimum but it creates lots of 2 day opening that I would like to fill. Currently those 2 days would not show up in a guests search for 2 day even though the days are open. I really think I could increase my sales by 10% if I could fill those holes. HELP!
Hi all, I have the same problem, I did wonder if it was possible that once you have filled a month with your minimum nights stay and are now left with 2 day blocks, to change the whole month back to 2 days, does that make sense.
My simple question is: If a booking straddles 2 different minimum lengths, which minimum length will be applied? If the booking starts on a night with a low minimum length and ends on a night with a high minimum length, which applies? And conversely, if the booking starts with a high minimum length and ends with a low minimum length, which applies? Let's take a theoretical example of 10 days numbered 1 to 10. Days 1,2, 8,9 and 10 have a minimum length of 3 nights, and days 4-7 have a minimum length of 5 nights. So which minimum applies to a booking of 4 days starting on day 1, and which minimum applies to booking of 4 days starting on day 6?
Good question @Maggie415 I would imagine the start date sets the pattern, but if you have these settings in your listing/calendar already, a test booking with your own property might give you the answer.
