We live in a converted house which is now 2 flats. We own the ground floor and our ‘neighbour’ who owns the top floor flat rents it out as 3 seperate rooms on Airbnb, he lives on the other side of London.
For over a year we have had issues with a leaking bathroom flooding our kitchen, the shared front door to the property being left wide open daily (we live in a slightly dodgy part of east London so this isn’t ideal!) and the constant coming and going of strangers to the property. It’s not fit for purpose as a commercial property and the owner is constantly relisting the rooms to avoid the 90 day limit. We’ve tried approaching the owner but he’s not sympathetic given that it’s being run as a business.
Does anyone else have any similar experiences? Have you approached Airbnb?
