My first bad review. Suggestions?

Hello Everyone,

This community is so wonderful. I’ve gotten lots of great advice by just skimming through threads. I was wondering if I could run my first bad review by you all. I’ve noted the advice to keep it short and consider adding a compliment. Please let me know what you think. I’d really appreciate it.

Current Review:

My neighbors indicated that the guest was relatively quiet, noting understandable firework use prior to 4th of July. Yet, this guest may be better suited to a hotel environment due to inconsistent communication, disregard for house procedures clearly listed, and unwillingness to follow through with previously agreed plan to replace items removed from home without authorization and not returned.”

Previous review with details:

Guest did not follow house procedures. I really appreciated her being forthcoming about the dirty dishes they left behind, but she did not mention the trash or egregious stains left on the tables and floors. A friend was kind enough to wash the dishes before I got home from my vacation because he was surprised at the state the house was left in and felt bad for me.  Guest was not very communicative after extended stay request. She also was short with me when I tried to work out how to get back my towels that she and her group took to the local water park and had not yet returned days after they checked-out. I missed the opportunity to file a claim with Airbnb to get reimbursed because she told me she would return them instead of paying the $20 asked. She and her guests have yet to return them two weeks later.

@Kay288

I am not great in English but I would say:

My neighbors indicated that the guest was relatively quiet, noting understandable firework use prior to the 4th of July. However,  I was very disappointed to find out egregious stains everywhere and the enormous amount of trash. Some towels are missing as well. I can't recommend this guest and would not host him again.

Thank you so much. I appreciate the help. I updated the review and submitted it with more confidence. Still a bit nervous but I know that’s me being too nice. Again, thank you.

@Kay288  I always feel bad when I leave a "bad" review for someone, but in the end, we have to be honest on the experience so other hosts know what to expect 🙂
