They booked for 2. I have ABnB documented conversation that there are actually 3 people. Requests have gone null. May I cancel without penalty?

Your listing stipulates a two-person max, so they wouldn't be able to 'update'. Call Airbnb and get them to fix/earn their commission, @Jeff762.

I am a newbie and will say it’s “first time host” unfriendly setting up a spot with multiple available bedrooms for a single booking exclusive. User error on my end and obviously not expecting any new accessorials from the party on the pre-booked dates. Thanks for the insight and I’ll reach out as advised!
