My listing

My listing has been paused Airbnb says  have had two cancellations. One was an accidental double booking and hold my hand up to that. However the next one this last week was one that came in as an instant booking which I had earlier in the year turned off this  instant booking facility. Somehow it did not activate in the system  I declined the reservation because of the fact that I had previously switched it off and explained that I could not accept it as it would not give me sufficient time to prepare the property because guests were allready in and due to leave that same day the instant booking wanted to arrive. I have now again turned off the instant booking.

All I want is to reactivate my listing and when I went to do it the system says unable at this time try later I have given it more than 24 hrs and it still says the same. Hope someone can help

Regards

Peter

If your listing has been snoozed by Air BNB, @Maria924, it appears you have to wait for the listings to be activated.  I did notice that you reached out to the host forum a few month ago because of your calendar problem and were directed to contact Air BNB to have the erroneous booking cancelled.  Perhaps you did not do that, but if Air BNB error to allow an Instant Booking when the calendar is blocked, then the cancellation would not be counted against you.

I never cancel without Air BNB assistance because it is usually some system error and not mine.

Hi Linda

Thanks for your reply.  Whilst it does not solve the problem it is good to know that it has been read. However on the notification that the listing had been paused  not snoozed it gives the option to reactivate and tried it but the system refuses. We are now coming to the end of the holiday season and we are full this month so guess will leave it for a while and try again later next week and hopefully the system has woke up and will allow kus to reactivate

I had to cancel all three of my bookings and lost that much needed money after I crashed on the street outside my building and lost mobility and injured other areas.   It was unbelievable but the guests must have been nice and NOT complained to Airbnb which penalized me for each cancellation after the first one and I think asked for medical documentation which I could not afford.    Because of my injury, my entire summer has been without short term bookings since my injury but I am starting to get them again (my brother has to move in instead of me) and airbnb did not snooze me. My three cancellations were made around June 25th.   I can't afford to go to a doctor and my injuries have EVOLVED in the past week and I just woke up from the pain at 5am so I am proof that airbnb income does make a difference.

I had been doing well and gotten my first positive reviews so cancelling prevents you from becoming a Super Host whatever that means.  The system tells you that cancelling comes with fines and repercussions.

@Maria924

If airbnb has snoozed (paused) your listing, I very much doubt that you will be able to reactivate it/relist it without the aid of airbnb.
