Hello, the girl staying at my place needs to recuperate a document that felt behind a fixed furniture. I need to call a carpenter and it's going to cost something. I refuse to pay for her mistake. How can I make her understand it's her fault and if she needs that paper she must pay the carpenter herself?

@Diana784 Call the carpenter for an estimate. When you get it send a request for money to the guest, only once she has accepted the request and payment is made do you let the carperter do the work. Otherwise she is SOL. This is her fault and responsiblity as you say. Also document if the actual retrieval of the document costs more than the original request the guest agrees to pay that amount also.
