I have been putting off leaving a negative review for a guest as every time I think about it, I find myself shaking my head in disbelief.
This is what I want to write but not sure it is acceptable? Is it too much information?
XXXX is not welcome back at our property and I do not recommend her to other hosts. During her stay she lost our house key, damaged our property including our verticals blinds when she climbed in and out of our window, stained our brand new vanity top with purple hair dye, removed (and did not return) decorative items from the property, empty our pantry of general groceries including the actual salt and pepper shakers, and also our bathroom items. In total the cost to replace said items from the supermarket cost approximately $60. This did not include the cost of the decorative items removed or damaged caused. I tried to contact her and asked for an explanation but she did not reply. Neighbours also complained about the ‘comings and goings’ of visitors during her short three day stay. When she booked our property as a same day arrival for herself and her two children, I advised that landscape works were scheduled during her stay, as were detailed on the listing at the time of booking, she asked to cancel as she cited ‘she needed to be alone’. It is reported at one stage there were 6 additional NOT permitted persons at our small property suitable for maximum of 4. Although we were happy for her to cancel her booking, she was not able to get a full refund and thus continued with her booking. On her departure, she left the TV on, left rubbish around the house in every room, cut her hair and clogged the vacuum cleaner, left uncovered meat and food scraps in the fridge, scuff marks on the wall and window sill and the bedside table damaged presumably from using it to climb in and out the window. There was thick bright coloured hair dye left on the wall of the shower which stained the grout, the same colour as per the stains on the bathroom vanity top.
