Hello fellow Host! I need help with constructive criticism reviews. I’ve had 3 guest in a row that left my cottage very dirty. I realize people are on vacation and aren’t in cleaning mode, but please...rugs dirty, grease in the sink & on the stove, dishes left everywhere, holes dug in the yard by their dogs. I was always taught “ if you can’t say anything nice don’t say anything at all “ I did say my last guest could of left the Cottage in a little better shape... well come to find out he proposed to his girlfriend while they were at my place and I feel like my review kinda put a damper on their celebration. Can I just skip the review altogether and still keep my Super Host status? What should I say that isn’t so negative?
@Fonda3 you don't have to review anyone, reviews you leave on your guests have nothing to do with your Superhost status. That said I do feel like you need to write honest reviews of guests, especially the bad ones because that is the only thing still left for us to help us decide if we want to accept a reservation or not. I don't believe in 'if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all'. Through criticism is how we learn and advance. Hopefully the guests will learn from your review and try to improve with their next host.
" Guest X and his group were friendly and arrived at time (or whatever postive you can tell) , however ,more than usual cleaning time was needed after their X nights sta.
This will warn future hosts but it sounds professional but not offensive
