So why can i not actually contact someone from Air BNB? I'm a new host and have had 2 bookings so far through Air BnB, which is fine. I then searched on the site as a guest for my listing for dates I knew were available and it doesnt show up. If i search with no dates - it shows up. As soon as i put a date in say, for a week away, it disappears.
I check my calendar - the date is free ... what the??
Then i get a message that people have looked at my place but booked something cheaper in the area and my price is too high. But this is not so because, unlike others in the area, i don't charge a cleaning fee. I'm beginning to be very unsatisfied with this site - i have my place listed on another site which is much more friendly to use and actually fees are a tad less. But I'm willing to learn if I'm doing something wrong here - just wish i could actually get some personal help in a chat support line or something....any suggestions?
@Sandy208 we all get silly messages telling us to reduce prices or x number of guests have booked nearby at a lower rate, you learn to ignore them.
Your listing popped up without any filters and again when I put dates in.
I want to know and need to know where you advertise with lower fees than airbnb and do you get bookings from them, please please 🙂
True, @Sandy208 - I recently got a message that someone booked at the rate 1 PLN (local currency) per night lower than my place - smile and say "good luck"
Hi @Sandy208, you have a wonderful place. I see that you are not overcharging in your region as well. You are bound to doubt your listing and platform in the initial days. But don't worry too much and ignore the msgs about pricing.
You have great review from your guest already. Keep it going and you will become superhost soon. And your revenue will increase as well.
Ensure that you have blocked the calendars on Airbnb when you have booking from another site and vice-versa....to avoid double booking and cancellation.
