New Amenity rules July 18

I have a question for other hosts about what they offer in terms of amenities.  Our property is for guest only use and we obviously provide toilet paper, hand towels and pillows with pillow cases and soap in dispensers in the kitchen and handbasins but not for the showers and we charge additional if sheets/towels are required as some people prefer to bring their own.  Will I now have to build the sheets and towels into my costing for all guests?

I understand that linens and towels will be required amenities, @Vanessa493.  What is the fiscal impact of providing that amenity for your listing?  If you have guests that prefer to bring their own, perhaps you can offer a small refund, instead of charging a fee for supplying them.

I understand that for some listing, the target market is local and traveling with linens and towels is no problem.  Also, it is a more acceptable practice in the area.

My property sleeps 13, I currently charge $5 per person for sheets and towels - if I have to include this it will be an extra $65 on top of the fees already.  Not very fair when I only have 4 guests staying who would normally pay $20 if they required the service.

Can't I just highlight that sheets and towels can be provided at an additional cost?

Yes.

Although if you leave it sealed, you might be quids in if your guests bring their own.
