New to the community, can't add a payment method

Hi there,

So my cousin got me a gift card for Airbnb and I got an error message saying that I can't redeem any gift cards without a saved payment method. However when I go into my account to try to add one in, there's no button to do so. I looked up the article that purports to tell you how to do it, but it seems to be out of date as it refers to payments and payouts as being on the same page and they clearly aren't. And there is no button on the payment page to allow me to add a new payment method. What do I need to do to fix this?

Payment method is for guests (travelling section), payout method is for hosts (hosting section).

Are you in the travelling section ? You should be able to add a payment method here (when logged in):

Yeah that’s the screen I was looking at, but in the payment method section there is no button to add a payment method. This is what I’m seeing:

I am facing the same problem too. did you solve it already? If so, please share me the way you solved it.

Ive sent this feedback to Airbnb.... I think the hosts should take it up with Airbnb as you will be losing out on bookings...

It appears that Airbnb has a world wide problem with adding payment methods leading to many frustrated Airbnb users... Kindly look at the threads reported on your site. We cannot add payment methods, therefore cannot make bookings, nor add, nor edit an existing payment method. Please reply to the messages whether you are dealing with the problem or what we should do. I love Airbnb as I prefer to stay in a private home instead of hotels, but we are forced to go to booking.com and others now as we cannot make simple payments... Please assist. Regards Tania

How do I get paid? I have been asked to apply for Master card which I did. But question is, do all this money, payments go to that card? It  was issued long ago, but no way to track where card is. It shows same " Left France" last update on JUL 11 but today is JUL 18.

Can anybody explain? By now there is a significant amount , still in the air. I want to know how I can collect the pay that guests paid?
And how do I know that this Master card is not a scam? 

It may say " lost on the way" that means money in it gone too?
