Hello everyone, I just have a question regarding coffee. I noticed that my guests are not touching the coffee I am providing to them. After check-out, I do notice that the coffee machine has been used, but the coffee I provide is still there. Is it because the pack is open? The coffee will loose the aroma, and I hate throwing goods.
Hello @Nadia163. Some guests simply prefer a certain brand. It is an eternal problem with any products with an expiry date.
I am providing starbuks coffee. Trust, that what I was thinking about.small packs of coffee is the option then.
I have an old-style coffee container with an airtight clamp, and I see there are new ones around with a vacuum seal. Would something like that work for you, @Nadia163? It would save on small-packs packaging.
I do have the coffee in a container, but for some reason no one uses it.
@Nadia163I doubt this is the reason, but it would be for me - https://www.organicconsumers.org/essays/five-reasons-boycott-starbucks
I also put out (large) packets of coffee. Some use it, some don't, many bring their own or buy a different brand. Now teabags, everybody seems happy to use those!
Thanks Ben. I guess my guests are bying thier prefered brand.
Hello
I put my coffee for guests in a mason jar with a tightly sealed lid. I clearly mark the jar with a sharpie so that the people know what is in it, and it stays fresh.
And who knows what people do and why. I had a guest who never used her towels. I did her laundry and there were no personal towels there either. Who knows ?!? Song
Oh I forgot to mention that I cut the lable off of the coffee bag and put it in the jar so that the guests can read what brand, roast, and grind it is. I am very particular about my tea and coffee so I get that it will not be to everyone's liking. Song
It’s a good idea to put the brand name on the jar, I will try that. Thank you.
