Hi all, I have had fewer bookings than this time last year and wondered why until a regular guest alerted me to the fact that my listing wasn't coming up in a general search of my area. Several recent very good reviews are also missing from my listing which means that the first few reviews shown are all from the same guest who stays every week. As my USP is that I am very close to London Gatwick it is very frustrating that my listing doesn't come up straight away when 'places near Gatwick' is put into the search engine. Any suggestions much appreciated - thanks!
"Places near Gatwick" can not be a keyword in the search engine. It is just "Gatwick" + what Airbnb suggest more (l saw for example "Horley")
Your listing is in for sure in the search system:
https://www.airbnb.com/s?host_id=133348199
By zooming in on the "gatwick" map towards your location (Shiplybridge) the listing will show up.
Reviews are not published in chronological order on a listing (but on your profile they are published in the order they are written)
Hope this helps,
Emiel
@Emiel1 thanks for your response - I have also made some minor changes to my listing (read on here somewhere that this makes listings move up the search - don't know if that's true!) As far as the reviews go Airbnb have sent the usual notifications that 2 reviews have gone public, clearly not true as they are not showing on my listing - very frustrating...
It can take some time before the reviews appear on a listing, maybe have a look here to see them: https://www.airbnb.com/users/reviews (or replace ".com" by your local airbnb website )
best regards.
Emiel
