Old, outdated reviews displaying first?

Hey everyone,

I'm sure others here have noticed that AIRBNB is displaying very old, outdated review first on your listing.

Does anyone know what the reason for this is?

I have had close to 120 reviews for my main property and naturally from time to time you encounter a difficult guest. At times we have had a couple of terrible reviews left on our listing. Maybe around 2% of them in total but in large we have amazing feedback.

Sadly our listing doesn't show the best reviews first, instead the bad reviews are shown near the top. I'm certain this must effct our bookings and I don't understadn why AIRBNB would want to do this. It effects their bottom line too if we aren't receiving bookings because of this.

What are your thoughts on this issue and has anyone else here experienced this?

Despite the complaints it seems Airbnb is not changing this. BTW On a profile reviews are displayed in chronological order:

Ok thanks Emiel, I will check that thread out. I’d like to know what their reasoning behind showing bad reviews at the top is. Seems illogical and only likely to discourage bookings.
