I know that I can prohibit smoking at my home or property, but can I legally prohibit people who smoke? If I rent for a month, clothes etc. of smokers will affect my house even if they don't smoke in it or around it.
@Susan130 @ how will you prove that they smoked? Even if it smells they can say it came from outside or it smelled before they arrived. You can only hope that they respect your non-smoking policy.
You cannot prohibit a person who smokes. You can only prohibit the behavior of smoking, @Susan130 However, you can add to your description something like, "as my property does not accommodate smoking either inside or outside, I do not encourage smokers to book."
As @Ana1136 points out, how do you know there is smoking behavior going on? After the fact, you will be able to tell, but during the stay, unless you enter the property,, how do you inspect what you expect?
