Hi,
I am new at Airbnb community and was really enthusiastic when listing my property.
It got booked from a couple.
They asked to use my motorcycle, and I had to pay 80$ for their safety. Then the man said he did not have a license. OMG! Now they want to leave and ask for payment back. What am I supposed to do? Please help.
@Erlinda5, I read the listing and you do offer the motorbike which seems foolhardy. Your price is very low (but I don't know the norm for the region). I do know that offering vehicles comes under its own issues with insurance etc, I would not in a million years consider it. As far as these guests go, you can let them leave and refund according to your cancellation policy. I see it is set to ''flexible'', so that is what they will get. Nothing you can do about it now. They will be refunded for everything after one night as I understand it.
For moving ahead: Consider the motorcycle seriously. Consider a moderate or strict policy for cancellations. Remove wording that says you are open to anything, and the ones whish says ''I am a new host''. No need to advertise that.
Hi Sandra, thank you very much for your comment and suggestions.
I will definitely remove the motorcycle option. My guests havent cancled yet, or it is me who should do it?
Concerning the cancel request, I cant really find where and how to change it. I am so so dissapointed right now and really thinking twice of being part of Airbnb.
DON'T cancel, if guests want to do it, let them. Nothing for you to do. If you cancel, you will pay a fine etc, really really don't. At this moment, there is NOTHING for you to do except wait. And be pleasant to your guests, even if you don't want to be. Let's hope the next guests are lovely, most of them are!
