Payment from guest taking 4 days

Hello! 

 

Typically we receive payment within 24 hours of the guests first night. Why would payment be taking 4 days? The first overnight was April 28 and now it says we won't get payment until May 4.

It could be an issue with their credit card and not necessarily an available fund issue. I had a guest that had his credit card hacked and his bank was blocking transactions. Each time he paid(it was a long term reservation) it would take longer because he had to do it manually over th phone with Airbnb. Annoying but it all worked out.

I had one that waited to extend at last minute and ended up not having funds. I had to make him leave. Airbnb paind me for extra days he stayed not the days booked.

In terms of your question, if the dates fall on the weekend or around a bank holiday weekend, it can sometime take your payment method a little longer to process. As there was bank holiday period in some areas around the time you are mentioning this might be the reason for it taking a little longer than expected.
