Payment in instalments

A guest has asked if they can pay in  installments? Is this something we can do as a host? I have recently joined and I am unsure of the answer I should be giving.

Hi Heather, it depends how long the guest is staying for. Payment by monthly installments is possible via Airbnb. see here. Another possibility is for you guest to book week by week , so his credit card will be deducted weekly. This method works only if you are sure he will be returning, as you will need to block off your calender to prevent other guests booking his dates and opening it up again for him to re-book with you, or you will need to refuse any other reservations during his stay. Of course if you offer a monthly discount and he needs to book weekly he will either loose it or you will need to feature this into your weekly tarif. Whatever you or your guest choose don't be tempted to accept cash. You won't be covered by airbn should anything go wrong and you could be delisted. Good Luck and happy hosting. Elaine.

The link was very helpful, the guests are only staying for 3 weeks so this method would not apply to them .
