Payment method from host

Hi,

I have just listed my property as a host and enetered my payout preferences as paypal. 

Why do Air bnb ask for a payment method from the host? Is that just for when I decide to book a place to stay sometime myself?

Hello @Warren19,

The method you specify in your payout preferences is the method by which Airbnb will pay you when guests stay.

When a guest books, Airbnb charges them the full amount as soon as they make the booking. 24 hours after the guest checks in with you Airbnb starts the process of transferring the money to you. It goes to your specified payout preference.
