Payment to my host when the rental is a big problem

Hi community

Thanks for any help with my problem. My husband and I arrived on Kauai yesterday, and our rental is not as portrayed on the airbnb site. Amenities are missing, the host is in Nevada with a new job, the wife is here but clearly hates him, and the only help we have is a friend who lives down the street. Our biggest issue is that when we rented the apartment, the site said there were 4 beds. We are only in need of 2 but the 2nd bed is a futon that is impossible to sit on, much less to sleep on, because the springs are poking into your rear end. I have tried to contact the host (yesterday), and I think it's clear that he has seen the message because at the urging of his friend, he changed his site to 2 beds rather than 4. I saw somewhere on Airbnb that payment can be delayed to a host if a guests contacts airbnb within 24 hours. I cannot see the way to do this other than to post here. Can anyone help? Thank you.

Hello @Susan378,

Clicking on "Get support" of the main page shows a "Community Help Guides" post.

It has links to many helpful articles, including the one below on how to contact Airbnb.

You need to call BNB now - if you report within 24 hours that the accommodation is not as listed, they may help you to move somewhere more suitable and cancel your current booking.

It doesn't matter if your host changed the listing, BNB can see what was listed when you booked. Did it say that there were two real beds available as opposed to one bed and one futon?

Anyway - contact numbers are in the first post on the forum you are posting in.
