How do I know if Airbnb has collected the rent from guest? Do I ask her to do it before hand or has Airbnb already done that.  Since reservation was alreay confirmed?

@Irma78 when guests book they pay immediately and Airbnb releases the money 24h after check in and you should receive them 5-7 days later, but it can take up to 30 days if you are new to the platform. You dont have to do anything, just wait for the guests and try to give them a memorable experience.

Actually, Airbnb now allows guests to pay part at reservation and to pay the remainder a few days out.  I was told that you shouldn't give access to your place until within 24 hours of the reservation in case they don't finish paying!  This has led to a huge issue as I had a gues that didn't make the 2nd payment, then Airbnb started harrassing me to refund the 1st payment or let him book again once he came up with the 2nd payment!  I still don't have my money after hours of phone calls with Airbnb support people and emails too numerous to mention.  This is very disappointing and everyone needs to know about this so they don't give out access to their homes until immediately before the reservation!
