I'm new to Airbnb, can someone please help me. I need to know if a guest books with you months ahead, do Airbnb take the payment in full from them straight away or is it like a travel agent and they pay say 6 weeks before they travel? Im aware that I'm not paid until the guest has checked in but unsure how it works for the guest.

@Ruth130 Just had a guest asked us this today since they are looking to book for October. After spending some time searching for an answer online (not easily found), called ABB customer service. They said for short term rentals meaning less than 28 days, guest will be charged full amount when they book the reservation. Hope that helps!

@Ruth130 Does that mean that you are not using airbnb to travel ? 

Does that mean you have never at least started the booking process on airbnb to see how it feels like ?
